“This is clearly a crack team who can give nothing less than keenly accomplished playing to suit any occasion” – The Living Tradition Magazine
Welcome you to the pages of Scottish folk music trio Càirdeas! This is the place to keep up to date with gigs, catch up with all the latest news and check out the latest Càirdeas CDs. Originally formed for a tour of Switzerland in 2006 they now perform at top international festivals, corporate events, British embassies, Caledonian societies and Scottish celebrations all over the world. Inkeeping with the world-wide tradition of the Burns Supper, Càirdeas have just returned from a 2-week tour of Switzerland as part of their annual ’Robert Burns Roadshow’. Mark Chesterfield from ‘The Whisky Experience’ thewhiskyexperience.com worked alongside Càirdeas throughout the tour offering guests the chance to enjoy some of Scotlands finest whiskies and celebrate Robert Burns with music, song, traditional Burns ceremony and, of course, haggis! Huge thanks to Mark Chesterfield, Bill Weir, Patrick Archer, Credit Suisse, David Jones, the British-Swiss Chamber of Commerce, Chamais Bar in Davos and all the Managers and staff at Mr Pickwicks!
We’ve got a couple of crackin’ folk clubs coming up in February, hope to see you there!
…Càirdeas (pronounced Car-dis) means ‘friendship’ and ‘kinship’ in Scottish Gaelic.
